April 2026 Reading Wrap-Up!
My reading streak continues this month as well. I didn’t read as much as in March, but I did read more than I expected. However, as far as finishing books goes, I only finished three. So, this one’s going to be another short post.
April 2026 Reading Wrap-Up!
The Gate of the Feral Gods (Dungeon Crawler Carl #4) by Matt Dinniman – ★★★★

We’re on the fifth floor, and Crawlers are split into bubbles with four quadrants. To unlock the staircases, you have to conquer all four quadrants. How much crazy ingenuity do Carl & Donut need to deploy to succeed? The answer is as much as you can imagine, and then some.
Wild, absolutely bizarre, and delivering on everything that I have come to love from this series, The Gate of the Feral Gods was a mad, thrilling, entertaining read.

The Memory Bookshop by Song Yu-jeong, translated by Shanna Tan – ★★★1/2

I particularly loved the ending to this one. The book reminded me of Before The Coffee Gets Cold, a slice-of-life story that deals with overcoming past regrets through a magical setting. As moving as this story was, the mature way with which it handled the resolution is perhaps the main reason why I’d recommend this book to everyone. An absolutely beautiful read!

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by Tom King (Author) & Bilquis Evely (Illustrator) – ★★★★

Emotionally charged, visually stunning, and narratively rewarding, this is a must read for all fans of Supergirl. Even if the film does justice to this graphic novel, I’d urge you read this one because the story is spectacular, and every other page is a piece of art.

April 2026 Reading Wrap-Up | Current Read:
This month, I started reading Green City Wars by Adrian Tchaikovsky. A sci-fi noir mystery, this one is set in a world where humanity has made tremendous environmentally-friendly progress. While humanity enjoys luxury and leisure, genetically engineered smart-animals perform all kinds of tasks. The book follows Scotch, a racoon tasked with finding a country mouse, set against the backdrop of rising tensions among factions of rats. Loving the book, but it is a dense read. I wanted to finish it before the month end, but I’m only halfway through.
I also continued my journey with JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable. However, I might need a break from this series after part 4 because I honestly am not having as much fun with this one as I did with the last three parts.

Finally,
