September 2024 was a very good month for Island of the Dying Goddess. But, that’s not all! I read a lot of books, watched some great movies, and am bracing myself for some interesting updates in the coming months.

So, without further ado—

My WIPs as of September 2024

Untitled Adeva Trilogy Book 1 – September 2024 updates

Nada. I did not get a chance to work on this one at all, so no update to give here.

I spent all of September focused on Island of the Dying Goddess which meant I wasn’t able to write anything for this one. However, I will get back to writing this in the second half of October.

Island of the Dying Goddess – First read through complete!

Two-thirds of the way done! It’s going slower than expected, but I’m happy with the progress. Also yes, the word count is going up in this edit. That’s mostly because I am adding atmosphere, descriptions, and one extra arc which I feel will make the ending more impactful. While the overall word count has gone up, my discarded paragraphs document has 26,000 words in it. So you do the math.

Also, this final stretch is in need of some rewriting, so I’m giving myself till mid-October to wrap this up. I should be ready for beta-reads after that. Fun fact: if you subscribe to my newsletter, you’ll get a chance to see the cover! I revealed it last month, but I’ll include it again in this month’s blast too.

Abandoned by the Gods – have you read it yet?

September was really good for Help! My Dog is the Chosen One!

Apart from two sales, someone read the whole book on Kindle Unlimited! That’s the most traction my debut novel has gotten in months (not counting the free promo). Also, the book touched 20 ratings on Goodreads. It’s not a lot, but it’s a milestone and I’ve decided to celebrate every small win!
