November 2024 WIP Updates | Help! My Dog is The Chosen One! is almost 1 year old!

November 2024 was another great writing month. I made some really good progress on Book 1 of my Adeva Trilogy. Plus, I have a few updates on each of my current titles, so strap in!

My WIPs as of November 2024

Just short of the 100k mark!

I was hoping to touch 100k this month, but I missed the mark by about half a week’s worth of writing. Yet, I am very happy with the progress I’ve made on this one. The section I’m writing is a slow, character-focused part of the book, which I wanted to write more consistently. Sadly, a few other commitments demanded my focus, which meant I wasn’t able to finish this section in November.

I was hoping to finish the rough draft by the end of 2024, but now I’m sure I can only finish this one sometime in March 2024.

Progress as of November 2024: Beta Reading in progress.

As you know, Island of the Dying Goddess is in its beta reader stage. So far, I’ve received only one, which won’t be enough to gauge my edits. So, I can’t really say more at the moment.

Expect more on this in December’s post.

After 2 months of no updates, I got another review on Goodreads, which also ended up being my first review on Storygraph! Reading that review definitely made me smile. Not just that, I also got 1 sale for the print version (in October, Ingram reports sales a month late). So, double win for this one!
