Happy Diwali everyone! October 2024 was a GREAT writing month. And, it was great for both Island of the Dying Goddess, as well as Book 1 of my Adeva Trilogy. But, that’s not all! I read a some stellar books, watched some great movies, and am bracing myself for some interesting updates in the coming months.

So, without further ado—

My WIPs as of October 2024

Untitled Adeva Trilogy Book 1 – October 2024 updates

The last I had a chance to work on this was early August IIRC. Since then, I was caught up with other projects that required my focus.

Well, now that my other projects are largely completed, I was finally able to divert attention to my main WIP. I’ll admit, I am having a lot more fun writing this one than I did writing all my other stories combined. Am I biased? Of course I am. This book—and the series by extension—is the culmination of multiple writing goals for me. The characters are very close to my heart, the themes and philosophies deeply personal, and the world a playground for me to go crazy.

I am excited to say that I wrote so much this month, with all my writing days clocking in an average of 3500 words (maximum going all the way up to 6600).

I aim to finish the rough draft by the end of 2024, but realistically it’ll be done around Feb of 2025.

Island of the Dying Goddess – Ready for Beta Readers!

I finished editing the second draft of Island of the Dying Goddess in early October. After that, I took a short break before reading through this draft. A few finishing touches later, the book is now ready for beta readers!

In fact, I’ve already shared it with a few of my trusted beta readers, and am eagerly waiting for their feedback. However, most of my regulars aren’t available this time around, which means I get to meet exciting new people and hear their feedback! Help! My Dog Is The Chosen One! | First Month Without Sales

October 2024 wasn’t all that great for Help! My Dog is the Chosen One!

Where I got a lot of traction in September, I got none in October. In fact, October is the first month where I’ve gotten zero sales. That’s rough, to be honest.

I blame my lack of social media engagement for that. I was too busy with other stuff, which naturally meant lowered visibility. Since I don’t do paid ads or marketing, organic reach and engagement are important for sales, and I have to pull up my socks on that one. More on this in the coming months.
