April 2024 was an exciting month for me. We’re already 4 months into the year, and what a journey it’s been! I made some progress on both my WIPs, which I’m really excited to talk about.
Without further ado —
My WIPs as of April 2024
Title Reveal – newsletter exclusive!
My WIP’s first draft is now at about 67,000 words. I’m balancing writing this with the ARC campaign for Abandoned by the Gods.
This book is taking longer than I had anticipated. But, I’ve finally decided on the title. Since my main focus right now is the short story collection, I don’t want content around my WIP to distract from the ARC and release content. However, my newsletter is a closed space where I can share such exclusive news.
If you want to know what my book is called, hit subscribe! I’m sending out this month’s newsletter a little late. I want anyone who isn’t yet subscribed to my newsletter gets a chance to do so.
Abandoned by the Gods (Short Story Collection) – Releasing on June 14th 2024!
Most of what I wanted to talk about Abandoned by the Gods has already been said. I finished my final rounds of edit this month. Pending just the final proofread, I’m all set to release it!
In fact, I also put out a call for ARC readers just a while back. If you’d like to read a FREE eARC of Abandoned by the Gods, you can sign up here:
Help! My Dog Is The Chosen One! – Should I put this on Kindle Unlimited?
I’ve been too busy with my other WIPs to pay attention to my debut novel. Naturally, sales were bound to decline. However, I did notice that the ebook sales are heavily skewed in favour of Kindle.
When I say heavily, I mean I have had zero sales from IngramSpark in all of 2024.
Which begs the question –
More updates coming soon. Until then, read more about Help! My Dog Is The Chosen One!
In the meantime, if you want to read the book, you can buy it in the following formats!
Books Read in April 2024
April was quite awesome from a reading perspective. I don’t remember the last time I read this much in a single month. Or the last time I had these many 5-star reviews one after the other. I wonder if any of the coming months could top this.
Since I read so many, I decided to do a separate reading wrap up post, where I’ll talk briefly about each book and link my full reviews for anyone who might be interested.
I reviewed all of the above titles for SFF Insiders. They’re either already live, or will be posted soon. Read them here!
